The Humanities Korea (HK) project team of the Korean Studies Institute (KSI) is implementing an agenda called ‘Locality and Humanities’ supported by National Research Foundation of Korea and Pusan National University. Since 2009 we have begun to publish Journal of Localitology (『로컬리티 인문학』in Korean), a Korean language journal published and maintained by KSI. In 2011 KSI took the initiative to publish Localities, an English language peer-reviewed international journal. These two journals have served to communicate and exchange the prospects, theories, and methodologies of humanities-based locality studies with domestic and foreign scholars and activists.
